Ladies nite-out: Dinner @ Kungfu **

16 May 2013

Finally a long awaited meet up with my ladies. Irene had made a reservation for 4 pax at Mookata aka Tom Yum Kungfu at boat quay. She had patronize the place before and gave extremely good review for it! As Georgi, Ling & myself have not tried before, we decided to give it a go [we ladies are more flexible erm… adventurous compared to the guys in our group, :X].

We ordered a BBQ set for 3-4 pax + thai chicken & the infamous fried kang kong (see picxy)
Our dear Georgi doesn’t eat pork =_+”, so we ‘fed’ her with chicken!! Haha. Look at how lovely the meaty-es are, BBQ-ed by our dear Irene & Ling. The food was good + great companies**

After our dinner we took a slow walk to Central mall and decided to continue our ladies chat at Starbucks! Irene was sharing with us about her wedding photography session, Ling & Georgi were talking about babies [Ling is preggy] and I was happily listening away. Haha!

It was an enjoyable ladies nite out!! Till next time! =)

Lunch affair: Zero Zero @ Central Mall

30 April 2013

Anna suggested to lunch at Zero Zero located at Central mall today. That was the restaurant which I had suggested to Ryan for our valentine dinner back in February. In the end we gave it a go as we thought it is going to be like a fine dining style which both of us would want to avoid after going through once at Sky Grill during our anniversary last year.

Nevertheless, since Anna highly recommended that place for our monthly lunch treaties we all agreed and step our footy in! apparently there wasn’t much crowd during lunch hour and we took some time before we decided on our meal. Zero Zero serves 6 course lunch set at $25.80++ & 7 course dinner set at $35.80++. After some consideration, I ordered

Starter: Bacon & mushroom gratin (standard, served with bread)
Salad: Prawn roll with pork floss
Soup: Cream of pumpkin
Main Entry: Sirloin steak with creamy mushroom sauce (medium)
Dessert: Brownie with ice cream
Beverage: Iced grape mallow tea
Although the food was served in a fine dining manner, the atmosphere was more relaxing compare to a fine dining X 2 restaurant. My taste bud brightens up when the dish was served and my anticipation for the next dish rises. Overall, their presentation of the food was good and the taste was excellent!

I will definitely come back again for more!
